Choi Hyung-moon(1981) is a designer who lives and works in Seoul. Before setting up his studio he worked as a home appliance and lighting designer at LG Electronics. He then received his master’s degree in product design at ECAL / University of Arts and Design Lausanne, Switzerland. He partnered up with a photographer Kim Joo-Young for MILIONROSES and is a full-time professor at Daegu University.Kim Joo-young (1989) is a photographer who lives and works in Seoul. She studied fine arts at Dongkuk University followed by her first solo exhibition at ONE&amp;J+1 Gallery with the photography series 'Chewing gum variations' in 2017. She is an independent architectural photographer and a co-founder of MILIONROSES. In 2013 the duo with distinct backgrounds met in Iceland where they traveled with different purposes. In 2016 they won the Interieur awards (Biennale Interieur in Belgium) together, and in the spring of following year they founded MILIONROSES. “MILIONROSES started where design and photography meet. Moving away from the pressure of delivering the result, this piece is more like an experimental piece that hides the material properties and emphasizes the structure.
